BIO Spawned in the late 90's, 57 State began as two kids rapping over old ICP instrumental tracks. RDK and G-Regular teamed up with G-reg's brother (Mudu) who produced most of the material and were pumping out ther own tracks. Their exceptional talent combined with their outrageous and high energy stage performance was quickly noticed all over the Houston, TX scene and 57 State was and instant hit. Their show developed over time to include more musical aspects, and they were even offered a record deal with the prestigious Houston rap label "Swishahouse Records." However, RDK and G-Regular had grown a bit and wanted to expand their horizons beyond rapping over prerecorded tracks. |

After turning down Swishahouse and relocation to San Marcos, Tx. 57 State had a bumpy ride ahead. Several years and countless members later, 57 State has finally found itself a solid lineup. With the addition of the seasoned rockers Cherry and Casper on the strings, a whole new world of intense rocking has opened up for the band. And now that G-Regular's long time friend Leary has signed on to the permanent lineup behind the drums, the "Texas Rap/Rock Powerhouse" is poised to explode onto the mainstream scene. With a roster of shows that leaves them almost constantly travelling all over Texas, and even into Mexico, 57 State is sharing the stage with some of the tope name in both the rap and the rock scenes. (Vanilla Ice, Afroman, Burden Brothers, and Paul Wall) Their debut full length album "Rank & File", which features a track with Swishahouse's underground superstar Paul Wall, has enjoyed airtime on radio stations all across Texas and elsewhere. In fact, quite a number of copies of the album have been sold in Japan, in addition to the thousands sold here in the U.S. 57 State's upcoming full length sophomore album entitled "Bang Streets" (also featuring a new track with the not-so-underground-anymore Paul Wall) is highly anticipated to put these numbers to shame. Houston's #1 rock station 94.5 The Buzz fequently spins several of th tracks from their new release as well as many other Texas rock and hip hop stations. 57 State is the future of the rock/hip hop world. Are you ready for the future?
